In the early morning hours Tuesday March 4th tornadoes hit the hometown of our headquarters of Ada, OK as well as several other surrounding communities. Although hundreds of people have been affected, we are thanking God that the injuries reported are minimal and we are also grateful that our main headquarters nor radio towers were not damaged.
Our local community is coming together to help those who have lost their homes and businesses as well as those who just need a helping hand to clean up the damage left behind. Currently, we are directing those affected to contact the Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief. They have volunteer teams ready to assist. You can call them at 844-690-9198 or fill out a request form online at www.okdisasterhelp.org. Ada Homeless Services, a local non-profit, is assisting dozens of families who were displaced by providing hotel rooms. You can contact them at 580-272-0211. You can also find more information at adahomelessservices.org. Red Cross is currently set up at Trinity Baptist Church in Ada and is distributing tarps and rakes among other needed items. The Gospel Station Network also has volunteers who are assisting citizens in need with debris removal. You can message us at [email protected] or call 1-800-557-8815. Please leave a detailed message on our answering machine if no one answers. If you’d like to give, you can go to the donate page on our website and earmark your gift under “tornado relief”. 100% of your giving will go directly to those affected by this storm. Please pray for our community. And thank you for listening to the Gospel Station. |
