The Jesus House in Oklahoma City is now a member of Family of Ministries -- we are very thankful to have them as an affiliate of The Gospel Station Network.
A long time friend, and very dedicated Christian man, Rick Denny is now at the helm of this tremendous ministry which helps the homeless and the needy in Oklahoma City.
|Jesus House is an inner city, non-denominational, non-profit Christian outreach providing shelter, food, clothing, and goods to the community’s needy. The ministry was founded in 1973 by Ruth Wynne and Betty Adams. Sister Betty joined our Lord in Heaven in 1991, and Sister Ruth joined her in 2002.|
The Mission of Jesus House is to help those persons who find themselves in a situation of adversity with food, clothing, shelter, and Christian counseling in a voluntary therapeutic setting to effect a permanent life change.
|During its 30 years of service to Oklahoma, Jesus House has received The Sertoma Club Service to Mankind Award, the Human Rights Award, the Five Who Care Award from Channel 5, a Paul Harris Foundation Fellow from the Rotary club, and the Pathmakers Award from the Oklahoma country Historical Society. |
- The Shelter Program is open 24 hrs, 7 days a week.
- A Licensed staff provides drug & alcohol recovery, case management and counseling to the homeless severely mentally ill and/or chemically dependent.
- The Jesus House provides food baskets, clothing, furniture and appliances free of charge as well as financial assistance to the poor of the community.
