Charles Johnson Dies
The Gospel Station is saddened to report the passing of Charles Johnson, of the famous "Charles Johnson and the Revivers". He passed away around 1:30 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2014 of a massive heart attack.
Johnson rose to prominence in the 1960’s as a member of The Sensational Nightingales. He traveled with them from the 1960’s to 1980’s.
In 1985, he formed Charles Johnson and The Revivers with brothers Darrell and Ricky Luster, and remained at the helm of that group, singing, songwriting and playing guitar, until 2012. In 2002, Johnson wrote his autobiography, Another River to Cross (available on Amazon)

Jarrod Vanderslice formerly traveled with the nationally-acclaimed family group "The Galloways" as their pianist. He also was one of the founding members of "Inheritance". Singing with these groups has provided a platform for him to sing in front of thousands of people and nationally-recognized organizations.
In 2005, while traveling with The Galloways, he was honored to sing on the main stage of the National Quartet Convention in Louisville KY. Jarrod has also performed on TBN, 3ABN and other TV networks. His musical talent, combined with his passion for Gospel Music, is next to none. His music ministers to all ages and is an encouragement to anyone who hears it.
In addition to performing, Jarrod is also the founder of "Sound Street Productions", his promotional company which promotes Gospel Music in Oklahoma as well as other areas of the country.
Jarrod is a regular at our annual Konawa Okla Gospel Singing (1st Sat in August) and joined our World Mission Team preaching and singing in the Philippines. You'll hear Jarrod's songs on the Gospel Station like "The Old Story Will Never Grow Old" and "God Said You're Gonna Make It".
