 Remembering Dottie Rambo
NEW INFO ON DOTTIES FUNERAL AND MEMORIAL CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS Dottie Rambo dies at age 74. We at The Gospel Station join all of gospel music fans and performers around the world in mourning the tragic loss of one of the most prolific song writers and performers in Gospel Music. Dottie Rambo died Sunday when her bus ran off the road in Missouri while on her way to Texas to perform. She was 74. The Missouri Highway Patrol has stated that Rambo's tour bus ran off Interstate 44 and struck an embankment. At first reports were that strong winds may have forced the bus off the road...but those facts are unclear at this time. Seven other people, including her manager and his family were on the bus and were hospitalized with moderate to severe injuries. Dottie was scheduled to be with The Gospel Station Network at our largest event of the year, The Konawa OK Gospel Singing, which is always the first Saturday in August in Konawa OK, south of Seminole. "Dottie was one of my all time favorites. Her talents and grace were unmatched...as well as her determination and endurance. She was a great inspiration to us all." Randall Christy. Dottie wrote over 2500 songs in her lifetime career, many of which are the most popular gospel songs in the world...even today. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. |
